Let’s Talk Makeup: ColourPop Cosemtics

Hey guys! Wow, it’s been a long minute right? Have you guys seen the meme where it’s like, my 2016 starts February 1st? Yeah…that’s me. I have some exciting things to share with you all, so please bare with me and stay tuned! 🙂 Now let’s talk makeup!

So last week, I ordered two lip colors from the oh so popular ColourPop Cosmetics. If you are even a little bit into makeup or if you are a YouTube junkie like I am you have heard of this company before. And you have definitely heard of their oh so famous, Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks! This company has become so popular within the last year or so, so I’m not quite sure what took me so long to order. Especially seeing as the liquid lipsticks are only *drumroll*…SIX DOLLARS! And I have to say for $6 these are thee bomb!

They didn’t name theses liquid lipsticks ultra matte for no reason. They are seriously ULTRA matte. I would definitely say these are almost like a lip stain as well. Trying these on, I scrubbed and scrubbed to get the first color off. And that is an awesome plus, knowing you can wear the color all day and don’t have worry about it coming off.

With these being super duper matte, let give you a little tip. You NEVER want to put a matte lipstick on without exfoliating your lips. You ever wonder why sometimes with certain lipsticks the color starts to crack and get a little flaky? Yeah baby…that’s dry skin. Also with applying ultra matte lipsticks you don’t want to rub your lips together put on even coats on top and bottom and clean up your lips with concealer or foundation, do not rub your lips together.

The two colors I got are “Avenue” and “LAX”. They are both in the brown family. One being a red with orange and brown undertones, and the other being a true deep brown. I am in love with these colors y’all. Like in love. I am really impressed with these lip colors seeing as they are only again, $6. Like bruh, these are bomb! And when you sign up, you get $5 off so, hello that’s a plus!

  1. Those are pretty colors! I usually prefer glosses, but the matte looks really good on you so I may need to try it sometime. I like both of them but the darker one looks awesome on you. I love the low price too! Thanks for sharing 🙂

  2. Those colors are beautiful on you! I have yet to order any of these. I just can’t decide on colors and once I do, my total is so high I just exit out. Such is the life of a makeup lover, right?
